A call for justice to humanity - 1 (to Indian citizens from other states)

Mr. K Muthukumar sacrificed himself at the prime of his life to highlight the plight of Tamils suffering in SriLanka. At the height of war between LTTE and SriLankan government in 2009, he immolated himself protesting against the commissions and omissions of Tamil Nadu government and Indian central government.

He wrote a 4 page statement before his death addressing Tamil citizens of India, citizens of other states in India and the international community.

This is a translation of the message in English. As Muthukumar states Tamils are "a community with a great sense of justice to humanity".

Please read the dyeing declaration of an ordinary Indian citizen. Look at how he is trying to be just and fair even after deciding to take his own life for the sake of a suffering people.

Brothers from other states of India living in Tamil Nadu!,

You would have experienced that Tamil Nadu is a state where you can live with peace and security which may not be available even in your own state

Today, we are in a critical situation. Our brothers in Eelam (Sri Lankan Tamil areas) are being killed in our name as Indians by our government.

Indian government seeks to isolate us in this struggle. We do not want that to happen.

Hence, please let the central government know that our brothers who are fighting have your support also. Take up with those of your nationality who are part of governments.

Such an act of historical significance on your part would not only strengthen our hands but also prevent the danger of a Navnirman Seva or Sriram Seva emerging in Tamil Nadu in future.
