இந்த வார ஃபிரன்ட் லைன் இதழில், உயர் கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் இட ஒதுக்கீடு சம்பந்தமாக நடந்து வரும் விவாதங்களை, எதிர்த்து நடைபெறும் போராட்டங்களைப் பற்றிய கவர் ஸ்டோரி வெளியாகியுள்ளது.
1. இந்த எதிர்ப்புக் குரல்கள் உயர்க் கல்வி நிறுவனங்களில் இட ஒதுக்கீடு செய்த முன் அனுபவம் இல்லாத வட மாநிலங்களில் மட்டுமே ஒலிக்கின்றன. தமிழ் நாடு, கேரளம், கர்நாடகம், ஆந்திரா மற்றும், மகாராஷ்டிரா, குஜராத் போன்ற 50% அல்லது அதற்கு மேல் இட ஒதுக்கீட்டை செயல்படுத்தி வரும் மாநிலங்களில் எந்த முணுமுணுப்பு இல்லை.
2. மேற்குறிப்பிட்ட மாநிலங்களின் உயர் கல்வி நிறுவங்களின் தரமும், பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சியும் எந்த வகையிலும் குறைந்து விடாமல், மிக உயர்ந்த்தே உள்ளன.
3. எல்லா அரசியல் கட்சிகளும் இட ஒதுக்கீட்டை ஆதரிக்கின்றன.
4. இந்திய அரசியலமைப்புச் சட்டமும், பின்னர் செய்யப்பட்ட திருத்தங்களும், இட ஒதுக்கீட்டின் மூலமாக சமூகத்தில் வாய்ப்புகள் மறுக்கப்பட்ட பிரிவினரை முன்னேற்ற உறுதியான சட்ட ஆதரவு தருகின்றன.
5. "அவர்க்ளையெல்லாம் கோயிலுக்குள் விட்டால் கோயில்களின் புனிதம் கெட்டு விடும்" என்பது போல "இட ஒதுக்கீடு அளித்தால், கல்வி நிறுவனங்களின் தரம் குன்றி விடும்" என்று தம் ஏகபோக உரிமை விட்டுக் கொடுக்க விரும்பாத சிறுபான்மை குழுவினர் வாதிடுகின்றனர்.

As usual Frontline has written in support of the stand taken by CPIM.It has given more space to pro-resevationists.The question is that of equal opportunities to all
and non-discrimination by the state.In the south in the
name of reservation the rights of
some so called upper castes have been denied.Dalit Murasu has pointed out that OBCs have benefitted immensely from reservation while some benefits
have been denied to dalits. The
OBCs want complete hegemony over
society in the name of reservation.
To call this social justice is a mockery of that social justice.
Of course OBC politicians of all
hues are anti-women when it comes
to 33% reservation.
There is little murmur in Gujrat against Modi.Gurjat is also economically advanced.Will that
justify hindutva.
If you see the English news channels it is all anti-reservationists.
Anti reservationists make up only less than 10% of the population, but are more vocal than the other groups.
It is time educational institutions are enriched by diverse social back grounds and view points.
